I don't see most people going for that option, but that is the only way to prevent it. The only way to completely avoid it is to not use Powersaves at all. It is possible that something has happened again on Datel's side that is incorrectly telling the program where to write the save. Everything has been relatively quiet on that front until recently. That also doesn't mean that it can't happen again. The major offending code (the Wal-Mart Garchomp) has since been added back and seems to function normally. This triggered a massive removal of content. There was a time early on where one edit seemed to be associated with a very high incidence of the save being rewritten outside of it's appropriate area. Suggested means would be to make sure that you have a functional USB cable and using it in a USB port that is actually on your computer and not through some peripheral (like a keyboard for instance ). We know why it is caused (see my post on the previous page with the link to the guy who found out), but there is no absolute way to avoid it. Back in 4th Gen, I messed around with Action Replay/Power Saves and was able to make codes that would generate Pokemon into specific slots in my PC Press J to jump to the feed.
